Annual Creative and Annual Close-up & Macro Competitions

Last night we saw the Creative competition and the Macro and Close-Up competition. A very busy night for our excellent judge Greta Howard ARPS who did a superb critique as well as giving us useful pointers for improving minor flaws and making stronger images with some simple Photoshop tweaks.

As always we saw a very high standard of images in both competitions. Congratulations to the winners, especially Jennifer Skjoldbro who was awarded both 1st and 2nd places with ‘Rainbow Umbrella’ and ‘Against the Clock’ plus an HC in the Creative competition after not entering a competition for over 2 years! We definitely look forward to seeing more of your work in future Jennifer!

Pete Evans came 3rd with a humorous composite of a man with an owl’s head titled ‘Barny the Toff’.

Pete Evans was also awarded top spot in the Macro and Close-Up competition with ‘Light on the Forest Floor’, 2nd place went to Penny Clarke for ‘A Spoonful of Blueberries’ and 3rd to David Wilkinson for ‘Watervole Portrait’.
