Monochrome Photography utilises differing amounts of light instead of colours to capture images and uses tonal ranges of that colour. This tends to be black and which but also can be of other colours such a sepia.

Sebastian Salgado - Brazilian Photojournalist.

Fan Ho - He has an incredible catalogue which helped transform the world of photography.

Don McCullin is a Uk Photojournalist who focuses on brutal realism often in conflict zones in the Uk and further afield.

Martine Franck - Who within her documentary style focused on key cultural subjects.

Josef Koudelka - Initially captures the invasion of Prague in 1968 he continue to shoot in monochrome today.

Matt Black - He tends to concentrate on Environment, polity and migration in journalistic style.

Damon Baker - His focus is portraits and fashion photography using light to garner raw emotion.

Elliiot Erwitt - He likes the combination of animals and people within his street photography and has a Centenary medal from the RPS..

Gary McIntyre - Shooting in Monochrome interesting video on what to look at when shooting Monochrome images.

Sean Tucker - This is for portrait photographers doing conversions from colour into black and white but can be used for any form of photography. He shows what to do in a step by step guide which can be easily followed in photoshop but could also be used which brushes and radial filters in lightroom. Of particular note is how he uses the colour sliders for lightening and darkening the image. A great video that you can lean a lot from and recommended watching.
